Our hearts desires are often exposed not by having answers but by asking better questions.
"If men of capability, capacity and means came together to do good what good might they do?"
What might it look like to build a community of men, who in the second half of life, are sold out to living in the fullness of all that God dreamed and designed for them to be, are compelled to make a massive difference in the world and are heaven bent of finishing strong?
Recognizing that an authentic answer to these question opens up amazing, life giving possibilities, we set out to build a community of elder men committed to finding great answers.
We exist to help men live out this vision, at home, at work and around the world!
Welcome to 5149life

Jeff Wells has been married for 32 years to his amazing (better said, beautiful, super gifted and willing to put up with him) wife Michelle. They have four incredible adult children, Tyler, Jacob, Joshua and Samantha. After living in Silicon Valley for 50 years the Wells now reside outside of Austin in The Hill Country of Texas.
Jeff is a Christ follower, Crossfit junkie, moderately successful founder, tech executive, author, speaker and business coach. He has lead numerous high achieving business and ministry teams over the course of his career and while that is important if you were to ask Jeff, his family, or the people that he has worked with "what he lives for most deeply?" you would immediately hear the term "people matter most".
Jeff's life and career have been guided by this simple core value that came out of his time on the board of elders of an emerging Church and Para-Ministry in Silicon Valley years ago. It's a value that has permeated everything he has invested in since and it continues to live on and be one of the guiding principles behind 5149LIFE.
Where does the term 5149life come from? It stands for " Intentionally living a life rooted in giving more and taking less"
As men in a post Eden world our innate inclination is to consume. This consumer inclination left unattended often takes on a life of its own, driving us to go "get our unfair share". To compete, to succeed, to consume. As a result we take way more than we give. The irony of this is that "they way up, is actually down". In business and more importantly, in the kingdom.
5149life is an anchor term, that reminds us that there is a new way to live. The way of giving. The principle of adding value (serving) without expecting something in return. "5149life" serves as a reminder that the least we can do is to strive, in every case, as much as it depends us to at least give more (51%) than we take (49%). That is the 5149life.
